We did loads today! We had stations of tasks and rotated between pot patrol, measuring for weed surpressant, watering the potatoes, onions, carrots and peas, planting basil, chives, radish, parsley and lettuce and clearing the bluebell grassed area. We also used the school's own recycled compost to topsoil our carrots in bed one. Everyone worked very hard and the garden is now looking very well and just about ready for summer. Yay!

This week we managed to fill the water butt using three hoses joined together! This means our onions and potatoes had a really good drink on this warm Monday afternoon. We also transplanted a blueberry bush into ericaceous soil. It's looking much healthier. We mulched, we weeded, we cut away more brambles! Francesca has done a fantastic job clearing the back section of the garden. It's looking great with weed suppressant and a top layer of straw. Thank you Francesca!

What a scorcher of a day! The bluebells are blooming beautifully and a few pea shoots are peeking through. We cleared an area for fruit trees - phew, that was hard work! Like the plants we are very thirsty.
